Top 10 Celebrity Meltdowns of 2009

The other day we shared the list of annoying celebrities of the year and now we have the top 10 celebrity meltdowns for the year. Some of these people have made both lists!

10. Kanye West
Taking the mic from Taylor Swift was rude.
9. Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay officially became irrelevant. Dropped from her label, and horrible reviews of her fashion line.
8. Morgan Freeman
Freeman made headlines after getting into a car accident with his alleged mistress and then there were rumors about an affair he was having with his 27 year old step granddaughter.
7. Mackenzie Phillips
She wrote a book and said she had a long time affair with her father. Disgusting.
6. Carrie Prejean
In the 2009 Miss America pageant, Prejean denounced gay marriage and put her upstanding values on display. Also on display-nude photos, and alleged sex tape and her stripped of her crown.
5. Roman Polanski
After decades on the lam, the controversial director was arrested in Switzerland.
4. Chris Brown
Beating a woman is never acceptable.
3. Jon & Kate Gosselin
Where do we begin with these two?
2. David Letterman
Letterman had to go public about having affairs with personal assistants.
1. Tiger Woods
He was known for his golf skills and after an accident we found out he was having multiple affairs. He's been dropped by some sponsors and his wife is divorcing him. Gee Tiger, was it worth it?

It's going to be a new year so it should be interesting to see what happens with some of these celebrities. Happy New Year!

Crazy New Year's Rituals

This week is New Year's and of course everyone starts to make their plans. Some get together with friends and others decide to relax. But in other parts of the world, there are New Year's rituals that are bizarre. It's customary to quickly eat 12 grapes in Spain. People eat one at each stroke of the clock. Each one signifies good luck for one month of the coming year. In Finland, people predict their fortunes for the coming year by pouring molten tin into a container of water and interpreting the shape of the metal takes after it hardens. A heart or ring shape means a wedding, a ship signifies travel. A pig means lots of good food. A pile of corn is put in front of each unmarried woman in Belarus. A rooster is then let loose. Whatever pile he approaches first shows which woman will be the first to marry. In Central and South America, people wear special underwear. Red underwear for love and yellow underwear for money. Do you have any unusual New Year's traditions?

Are You Running Behind On Buying Christmas Gifts?

Sean and I have finished our Christmas shopping so it's nice not to have to scramble around trying to buy the perfect gift for someone. Have you finished your shopping? Do you feel like you don't have enough money to buy the perfect gift? We found some good ideas for inexpensive last minute gift ideas. We both think these are really good ideas. Good luck!

Homemade Coupons. They suggest that you could even do a booklet of coupons and make some that say free backrubs or massages or you could make one that says free home-cooked meals.

Bake for Them. You can find out someone's favorite type of cookies and bake them. You could bake a combination of treats.

Photo Albums. They say that photos make a great gift because they're a great way to remember good times.

Coffee Date. You could tell someone you want to spend time with them and catch up with them over coffee.

We hope some of these ideas help you this Christmas.

Brittany Murphy Dies At 32

More sad news in Hollywood this past weekend. Brittany Murphy died Sunday morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and couldn't be revived and she was only 32. The coroner's office is saying foul play is not suspected at this time because there were no signs of trauma or other injuries. Could there be more behind her death than natural causes? Sources say that she was taking prescription medication and Sean and I find it odd that her husband doesn't want an autopsy performed. Friends are also saying they were really worried about Brittany and how she's looked painfully thin and sick in recent weeks. They said she looked like she hadn't eaten in ages and that her skin was terrible. Sources also say that Brittany was recently fired from a movie because of her behavior on the set. Obviously there is more to her death than natural causes. The coroner's office was going to try to schedule the autopsy for today. Brittany is known for her roles in Clueless, 8 Mile, Girl Interrupted and Uptown Girls.

Tiger Named AP Athlete Of The Decade

Despite all of his scandals, Tiger Woods was named the AP athlete of the decade. Sources say it was tough to ignore what he achieved on the golf course. He won 64 times around the world, including 12 majors, and hoisted a trophy on every continent golf is played. He lost only one time with the lead going into the final round. Woods was selected Wednesday as the Athlete of the Decade because it was more about 10 years of performance and not about three weeks of being in the headlines. Sources also say that Tiger's influence has been so powerful that TV ratings spiked whenever he played and prize money has quadrupled since he joined the PGA Tour because of his broad appeal. Woods finished the decade with $81,547,410 in earnings from his PGA Tour events, and average of $482,529 per tournament. As the AP points out, it's about what he accomplishes on the golf course and not in the tabloids. He may have won this award, but his wife is leaving him and he has ruined his image. Do you think he cares?

Woman Sues Burger King For Texts About Shakes and Whoppers

A Florida woman is suing Burger King saying they flooded her inbox with spam text messages. She claims the texts caused her harm and she wants $5 million for her troubles. Really, she thinks she deserves $5 million over some text messages. There was a report in the Miami New Times News with some of the messages she received. Here are a few: "Kick it up a notch with a loaded steakhouse burger. Try one today at BK." Another one said, "Stop by BK for a refreshing Mocha BK Joe Iced coffee. A perfect mix of rich coffee and chocolate syrup." Sure those text messages could be annoying but does she really think she needs to sue for that much money? Knowing how the system works, she would probably win! All she would need to do is sign up for a do not call list or block the number. It should be interesting to see what happens.

More Women Have Been Linked To Tiger Woods

More and more women are speaking out and saying they have been linked with Tiger Woods. Over the weekend, Jamie Jungers, Cori Rist and Mindy Lawton said they've had affairs with Woods. That is a total of six but sources are saying there could be a dozen girls total who have been linked to Tiger. What is he thinking? He has a great wife and kids and why would he want to mess it up? We were also reading that his wife Elin was going to make millions if she stayed with Tiger and never discussed the situation. Now there are reports that Elin has packed her bags and has moved out. This morning, Elin's mother was rushed to the hospital for stomach pains. I wonder how Tiger feels about all of this? Does he care what he did? He probably wishes he never got into that accident. Sean of course feels bad for Tiger and I think the guy is a jerk. Who cares if he loses his endorsements. Maybe that will teach him a lesson. We'll probably have more updates tomorrow!

More Problems For Tiger Woods

We discussed in entertainment news this morning that Tiger Woods supposedly called his rumored girlfriend and told her to change her voicemail greeting. He goes on to say that his wife went through his phone and that she may call this girl. There's also another woman claiming she also had an affair but she didn't want to reveal any details. Yesterday Tiger made a statement saying he has let his family down and he apologized for his transgressions. Does this mean he is admitting to having some affairs? Sources are saying that his wife Elin is going to stay with him but right now they are going through intensive counseling. What's also very interesting is that she's reportedly being paid a hefty seven figure amount if she sticks with her husband. The couple is renegotiating their prenup because originally there was an agreement that stipulated they must remain married for 10 years in order for Elin to collect a settlement for $20 million. Looks like she could receive a lot more than that. We've posted a clip about Tiger apologizing for these recent events.

What Is Really Going On With Tiger Woods?

Over the weekend Tiger Woods was in a car accident right outside his home. Apparently he crashed into a tree and fire hydrant and original reports said his wife took a golf club to smash the window to get Tiger out of the car. He went to the hospital and had minor injuries and was sent home. But could there be more to this story besides he wasn't paying attention? Tiger and his wife have avoided the police three times while they're trying to figure out what happened. Rumors are saying Tiger's wife Elin actually scratched his face and smashed his car with a golf club after finding out about an affair he's supposedly having with a girl in New York. An article was posted in the National Enquirer last week and both parties are denying the rumor. Here is the latest post from Tiger: "The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false." Woods also added "I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received, but I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be." If nothing really happened, then why won't Tiger and Elin talk to the police about the accident? Do you think he is having an affair? Do you think they're covering something up?

Mya Should Have Won Dancing With The Stars

The season finale of Dancing With The Stars was on last night and Sean and I couldn't believe that Donny Osmond won. Throughout the entire season we kept saying we didn't want Donny to make it to the finale. Both of us think he tries too hard to be funny and he can be kind of creepy. The creepy factor appeared when he was pretending to make out with Bruno. Things got a little weird when he did this. Sean was rooting for Kelly Osbourne and I was hoping Mya would win. Mya was the most consistent throughout the season but unfortunately Donny has a big fan base. Now we will see Donny everywhere! We've posted a clip from last night.

Black Friday Tips

We can't believe that Black Friday is this week and we found some tips for you if you are among the crazy shoppers going out all day. The first one seems really obvious but they suggest to dress appropriately and leave your heels at home. Another tip is to know your sales and the article suggests you bring sale ads with you for clarification and extra in store coupons. This should be another obvious tip but it says to leave uninterested spouses or children at home and being teenagers who can run fast and aren't afraid of a good bribe! If you are crazy and decide to go shopping on Friday, all we can say is good luck and have fun.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Never Look Happy

New Moon comes out in theaters this weekend. The cast was at the New Moon premiere in Los Angeles the other night and before the premiere they were giving interviews on the red carpet. Sean and I both noticed that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson never look happy. They are so successful because of these movies and they always look like they don't want to be in the spotlight. Kristen and Robert are always complaining about having to work long hours and how tough it is to be an actor/actress. We think they should grow up and deal with it because we're sure they could cast some other people who would be happy to be involved with these movies. We've posted a clip on an interview they did last week. We would be smiling all the time if we were this successful!

Jon Gosselin Needs To Get A Job!

Jon Gosselin is suing TLC for $5 million claiming producers violated Pennsylvania's child labor laws while filming "Jon and Kate Plus 8." What we think is really funny is the fact that Jon and Kate never seemed to have a problem with this while the show was a success. Could it be that Jon is bitter and needs some extra cash? Could he be trying to make money because he is a loser who won't find a job? If Jon put this effort into finding a job to support his kids, he would have had something by now. The guy needs to go away and get a life. Hopefully we won't be seeing him on another reality show anytime soon. We've posted a funny clip below with Nancy Grace discussing Jon.

The Luckiest Woman In Boston

We're not sure if you've seen the video of the luckiest woman in Boston but you need to check it out. A drunk woman was waiting for a subway in Boston and then she stumbled off the platform and fell onto the tracks while a train was coming into the station. She wasn't moving and a few people were trying to wave their arms to get the train conductor's attention so he would stop. The conductor originally thought it was a bunch of enthusiastic Celtic's fans but then he pulled the emergency brake and the train stopped right before hitting the woman. She is one lucky lady. We've posted the video below.

Which Celebrities Should Go Away?

After a certain point, do you ever get really tired of celebrities? In the beginning, it's fun to talk about them and make fun of them but when is enough enough? Sean and I used to like to watch the train wreck of Lindsay Lohan and her dad, but now we're ready for her to disappear to somewhere far far away. Of course the Gosselin's are always in the news. They're doing something right because we find them annoying but here we are talking about them again. Both of them should grow up and move on. Jon is a loser and needs to find a job. We used to like Katherine Heigl until she started opening her mouth and saying rude things. And then of course there are the Kardashians who have no talent at all but have managed to star in a terrible reality show. We really don't get it. Are there any celebrities you can't stand and would like to see go away?

Kate Gosselin Has An Emotional Interview

The other night, Kate Gosselin talked about her relationship with Jon and opens up and gets personal. When she was on TLC the other night she revealed that a part of her still loves Jon. She also admits that she was too tough on Jon during their marriage. She said that was wrong to treat him that way. Sean and I never watched the show but since they broke up, they are both in the news every day. We both think they're ridiculous and need to grow up. We can't help wanting to watch the train wreck every time one of them opens their mouth! We've posted the interview below.

Could There Be A Reality Show With Jon Gosselin & Octomom?

We're not sure if it's a joke or not, but there are rumors that Jon Gosselin and Octomom will be starring in a reality show together. Yes that's right-two train wrecks coming together as one sounds pretty scary. Both of their reps are denying the rumors but "Cheaters" producer Bobb Goldstein claims he's producing the pilot, titled "Jon Minus Kate Equals Jon Octo-mom". Goldstein also said that he heard Nadya has a desire to spend time with Jon so he figured he would put the two families together. We both can't believe this would actually happen but then again, Jon has no job offers so what's another bad reality show?

What Should We Be For Halloween?

Neither of us know what we should be for Halloween. We definitely need costumes since we will be at the Halloween Stroll at Sanborn Park on Saturday. I told Erin I could be the bear again this year but I also like to dress scary. I have a lot of costumes at home so I'm not worried about it. I also told Erin she could be a drunk bridesmaid and carry around an empty bottle or glass of champagne. I liked the idea so much that I may even borrow one of my girlfriend's bridesmaid dresses. Erin also talked about being a Hawkette since she still has her jersey. No one knew what she was last year and she said if that happens this year then she will give them bad candy! We don't want to upset her now do we? Any thoughts or suggestions? If you do go to the Halloween Stroll, stop and see us. We promise we will have decent candy.

Ballon Mom Admits Hoax

By now everyone knows the Heene family's stunt they pulled with their son missing in a balloon was a hoax. Of course the dad kept denying it saying they had no idea their son was really hiding in their attic. The mom admitted yesterday that the whole thing was a hoax. She told sheriff's deputies that she and her husband "Knew all along that Falcon was hiding in the residence" in Fort
Collins, according to an affidavit used to get a search warrant for the home. She told investigators the incident was a hoax because they wanted to become more marketable to the media. They even told their kids to lie to authorities and to the media. Of course her husband is still saying it wasn't a hoax and that he had no idea what was going on. Sheriff deputies hope to have formal charges made against them next week. As we've said before, the extremes parents go through to exploit their children for a little fame. It's sad and pathetic.

Dancing With The Stars Bet

Sean and I usually place breakfast bets for Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. We pick who we think will win and whoever gets voted off first, the other person has to bring in breakfast. My pick for Dancing with the Stars this season was Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin and Sean's is Kelly Osbourne. We both thought Kelly would be the first to go but she has been a pretty decent dancer. Natalie has done fairly well except for Monday but everyone had mistakes Monday. She was also a judges favorite and they were even upset by her going home. Len Goodman said he was heartbroken and lashed out at the viewers for failing to dispense justice. Now it's time to bring in breakfast. Sean did say I could bring anything in so maybe I'll give him a Lean Cuisine. Do you think Natalie Coughlin should have been voted off?

Boy In Balloon Was Hoax, Charges Expected

According to authorities, the story about Falcon Heene being trapped in a helium balloon that floated away was a hoax concocted to land a reality show. Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden said the stunt two weeks in the planning was a marketing ploy by the Heene's and the parents will likely face felony charges. The stunt temporarily shut down Denver International Airport and had the National Guard use two helicopters to try to find the boy. The Sheriff said the parents weren't under arrest but he expected to recommend charges of conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, making a false report to authorities and attempting to influence a public servant. They could also face a maximum sentence of six years in prison and a $500,000 fine. Alderden said they would be seeking restitution for the costs but he doesn't have an estimate yet. He also said that the three kids knew of the hoax but they probably won't face charges because of their ages. We've posted the clip from the sheriff's announcement regarding the hoax. Once again, another bad example of people using their kids for publicity.

Balloon Boy Is Safe

You probably know by now about the boy whose family thought he was aboard a hot air balloon yesterday. The balloon was an experiment that his dad had built and it launched and they thought the boy was in the compartment of the balloon at the time of take off. This led to a frantic search for the boy who was finally found in the attic. The boy Falcon Heene said he went into the attic of his parents home after he got yelled at for being in the compartment of the balloon. Now everyone is questioning the Heene's and wondering if they did this all for publicity. The family did an interview on Thursday night and they asked Falcon why he didn't come out of the attic. His response was "You had said that we did this for a show." The dad was then questioned on what his son meant but he never clarified the answer with his son. Investigators will decide if they want to look more into this case. Poor Falcon got sick on the Today show this morning. We've posted a clip of the interview below.

30 Year Olds Living At Home

We talked this morning that according to a survey, more than one third of workers under the age of 34 are living with their parents. Listeners called in to say they knew 40 and 50 year olds who still live at home with their parents! If we were their parents we would kick them out. We understand if someone lives at home because they are taking care of their parents, but if you have a job and are 30 or older and still live at home, it's time to move out. The survey we talked about offered suggestions to parents if you're ready for the kids to move out. Here was one of our favorite suggestions - Tough Love-As terrible as it may sound to some parents, you need to be unafraid to kick your kids out of the house. They need to grow up and start their own lives, even if it means they have to work a crappy job and live with three roommates.

Are you dealing with an adult child who won't leave your home? If someone does still live with you, do they help with the bills?

Jesse McCartney Forgets Words To National Anthem

Poor Jesse McCartney. He forgot the words to the National Anthem at the Nascar Pepsi 500 race on Sunday. He probably feels stupid for forgetting the words to an important song but he's also human. Maybe next time he should go over the lyrics before singing! We've posted the clip below.

Ultra Thin Ralph Lauren Model Spars Outrage

This ad was posted by Boing Boing's Xeni Jarden last month which of course has caused an uproar with a lot of people. This girl's waist looks disgusting and it looks smaller than her head. The ad originally appeared on a blog dedicated to pointing out suspected retouched images called Photoshop Disasters. Ralph Lauren responded by filing a complaint against Boing Boing and Photoshop Disasters, claiming that their use of the image was a copyright infringement. It's obvious that the ad was changed but by who? Certain websites have been commenting on the problem and one website was offering free t-shirts if they could find the original ad. We know that retouching happens all the time, but why does it continue to happen? How can you say that this photo is an inspiration to other women?

The last update from Ralph Lauren was this: "For over 42 years we have built a brand based on quality and integrity. After further investigation, we have learned that we are responsible for the poor imaging and retouching that resulted in a very distorted image of a woman's body. We have addressed the problem and going forward will take every precaution to ensure that the caliber of our artwork represents our brand appropriately."

What do you think of the ad?

David Letterman Is Getting Blackmailed

David Letterman announced on his show the other night that he was the victim of a blackmail attempt, saying that the blackmailer was threatening to reveal embarrassing details of Letterman's personal life. Letterman goes on to say that he has in fact had sexual relationships with "Late Show" staff members and this was going to all go public from his blackmailer. He doesn't indicate when this happened or who was involved. A former intern claims she had a secret fling with Letterman and said she was madly in love with him. Saturday Night Live made fun of the episode in which he shared all of this information. Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon also made of fun of Letterman on their shows. Leno said, "If you came here tonight for sex with a talk show host, you've got the wrong studio." Jimmy Fallon said, "There's a new book out called 'Why Women Have Sex' that says there are 237 reasons why women have sex. and folks, Letterman knows the top 10." Did Letterman do the right thing by telling his audience what was going on? We've posted the clip below.

Kate Gosselin Going Solo

Kate Gosselin will now be doing "Jon & Kate Plus 8" on her own and it will now be called "Kate Plus 8." TLC is going to revamp the show and it will focus on Kate's role in the family and her journey as single mother. TLC said that Jon will be involved in the show but he will be seen less often. TLC is also hoping that the show is more manageable and that Kate may do another series next year. Between the two of them, both are annoying but we think Jon deserves the boot. He always wants to be in the spotlight and he's always whining. We also think that they shouldn't give Kate another show. Maybe the two of them should stay out of the media and focus on their kids right now. It's the kids that we should feel sorry for. They didn't ask for anything of this. We posted a clip of the announcement.

Are Text Messages Replacing Conversations?

Sending emails and text messages is a quick and easy way to connect with people. Do you think this is replacing conversations? If you receive an email or a text you can ignore the messages and avoid questions that you don't want to answer. Of course you can always misread words which then makes it worse if you respond back to someone. What happened to old fashioned conversations on the phone? If you are upset and you send someone an email or text, it's hard to take it back. Would you rather send someone a text or email instead of having a conversation with them?

Grey's Anatomy Season Premiere

Finally the two hour season premiere of Grey's Anatomy is on tonight. We've been waiting all summer to see this episode but it's going to be a sad one. Here are some things to expect on tonight's show. George dies and his mom faces the decision of organ donation. Meredith and Derek celebrate their marriage, even though it was on a piece of paper. Cristina and Owen suffer through abstinence on doctor's orders and Jessica Capshaw returns as a series regular playing doctor Arizona Robbins. We also know that Izzie will live. We've posted a preview below.

Who Do You Think Will Win Dancing with the Stars?

We know only one episode has aired for the new season of Dancing with the Stars but if you are a fan of the show, who do you think will win? The guys danced last night and the ladies will dance tonight. Sean thinks he's going to pick Donny Osmond and I think I'm going to pick olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin. It seems like the athletes always do really well. I think Sean and I both agree that Kelly Osbourne will probably be one of the first to leave. We don't see her being that graceful on the dance floor. But then again you never know. Who would you like to see win?

Glee

I think we both agree that one of our new favorite shows is Glee. It's on Fox on Wednesday nights at 9PM. It's about a Spanish teacher who used to participate in Glee when he was in high school and decides he wants to take it over and try to save the club. When the first episode aired, only 6 students signed up, including the football star who struggles to be in the club because he's afraid he'll lose his popularity. Of course there's the cheerleading coach who doesn't want to see Glee succeed. The coach is played by Jane Lynch who's hilarious in the show. You should watch is sometime. We've posted a clip from the show for you to check out.

Kanye West disses Taylor Swift at VMA's

Kanye West was really rude at last night's MTV Video Music Awards Show. Taylor Swift beat out Beyonce for best female video and while she was accepting her award, Kanye went on stage and grabbed the mike and said Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. They showed Beyonce who looked completely stunned at his comment. The crowd booed Kanye and later he was told to leave by an MTV exec. Later in the show, Beyonce won Video of the year. Even better was that she invited Taylor Swift to come back on stage so Taylor could finish her acceptance speech. We've posted both videos below.

Jon Gosselin Despises Kate

Jon Gosselin went on Good Morning America yesterday to tell his side of the story. He talks about Kate and how much he despises her and said he doesn't like all the media attention. Which of course we know is a lie because he loves being in the spotlight. We've posted the interview below and it's pretty funny.

Would You Rather Date Someone with Good Looks or Good Manners?

We discussed earlier if you would rather date someone with good looks or good manners and Erin said she would date someone with good manners. I on the other hand find it hard to believe that if you go to a bar, you would look for personality over looks. There was a study done from Men's Health magazine and they asked more than 2,500 men and women to weigh in on manners and etiquette. 60 percent of women say good manners absolutely makes a man more attractive. The study also found that 74 percent of women say they're attracted to older men because they have better people skills. And almost 60 percent of men say they won't trust a man who gossips. As I told Erin, men don't gossip so I don't believe this last statement. What do you think? Would you rather date someone with good looks or good manners?

Anne Heche Is Crazy

Anne Heche was on David Letterman the other night and he asked her about her ex Coley Laffoon. She goes off on a rant about him and even complained that him and their son enjoy sports. She also tells Letterman that he shouldn't have gotten married. Sean and I both think she's a little crazy and probably bitter. We've posted the clip below. It's quite entertaining!

Men's Fashion That Should Never Have Been Allowed

We talked this morning about Men's fashion that should never have been allowed. Of course the first thing we discussed was the hammer pants. I mean seriously why would anyone want to wear those! Of course you can't forget about mesh shirts, shaving lines and the rolled up blazer sleeves. A favorite that will never go away are the mullets and the white socks with sandals look. Whoever thinks white socks with sandals looks good, please do yourself a favor and change immediately! Is there something that bothers you when it comes to men's fashion?

Annoying Types of Facebookers

There are always fun and interesting people that you talk with on Facebook on a daily basis. Then you have the other people that are annoying and you can't seem to avoid them. We found a list of some of the most annoying habits of Facebook users and we agree with it:
The Let Me Tell You Every Detail of My Day Bore: "I'm waking up", "I'm bored at work". "I'm stuck in traffic".
The Self Promoter: Every update is a link to their blog, award, 10k results and they are bragging.
The Lurker: The peeping toms of facebook. They don't post something on your wall but they may mention something you posted because they were looking you up.
The Crank: They complain and are negative about everything.
The Chronic Inviter: Those people that want you to support their cause or support their petition. It can even be someone who wants you to take a quiz about what Star Trek character are you?
These are only a few from the list. What do you find annoying on Facebook? Let us know.

Cheryl Burke Needs A Bad Dancing Partner

Of course the new cast of Dancing with the Stars has been picked and some people have shared who their dance partners will be this season. This may sound horrible but we would really like to see Cheryl Burke get stuck with a bad partner. Someone who has no moves and can't dance at all. We say this because we are tired of her attitude and thinking she is better than everyone else. Plus she has already won before so she should let someone else win! Here are the pairs that we know about right now:

Debi Mazar will dance with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Donny Osmond is paired with Kym Johnson
Ashley Hamilton will dance with Edyta Sliwinska
Natalie Coughlin announced she has been paired with Alex Mazo

As we get closer to the show, we're pretty sure more pairs will be announced. Then we vote and see who we think will win.

Regis Philbin Wants A Gosselin Reunion

Regis Philbin had Kate Gosselin on the show yesterday and said he's only seen Jon & Kate plus 8 once. He goes on to tell Kate that he thinks there will be a reunion and that they will work things out. He has no clue what he is talking about. We've posted the clip below of the video and Kate's reaction as always is entertaining.

Hillary Clinton Is Very Angry

You need to watch this clip that we've posted about Hillary Clinton at a press conference. She misunderstands a question about her husband and gets very angry. It's really funny so we hope you enjoy it!

American Idol Conspiracy Theory

As you know, Paul Abdul posted on Twitter that she was leaving American Idol and would miss her fans. The story continues on to say that she is leaving because she wanted more money and was hurt when everyone else was getting big raises. Now there are some theories going around saying it's all part of a conspiracy and that she already signed a contract for the next season. Some people are saying it's a publicity stunt so she can get attention. Ryan Seacrest says that Paula's departure was real and that it's not a publicity stunt. Randy Jackson supposedly told Extra that her departure "Looks to be true." There are also rumors that Paula has already lined up another gig. She never makes sense on Idol but at least she's entertaining to watch. It should be interesting to see what happens in the end.

It's so cold in the building

I know it's summer and I know sometimes people like to have the air conditioning running. I never understand why the air at the radio station has to be set at 50 degrees! It's really hard because in our studio we have the air off but then you walk in the hallway and it's freezing because another office has the air set at 50. Having the air off in the studio doesn't really make a difference when you can still feel cold air coming from somewhere else. I guess the battle continues and in the meantime I'll continue to layer my clothes!

Eating chocolate for a year

There's a research company in England looking for women to eat dark chocolate every day for a year. They want to see if the results help lower your risk for heart disease. Erin says she could eat chocolate every day especially if it's for research! The only downside is that you have to get a blood test every day, an ultrasound and other tests to make sure everything is ok. But what a great excuse it would be to say you had to eat chocolate because it's for research.

Dating in the Dark

Last week a new reality show started on ABC. It's called Dating in the Dark and it actually looks hilarious. Basically people have a chance to date in a completely dark room. Then after a few dates people get to choose who they want revealed in the light. Once they have seen each other they have to decide if they would continue to date them or ditch them. It actually looks entertaining. I've posted a clip below from the season premiere. I actually might watch this reality show!

Break Dance Baby

We saw this video online earlier and it's quite entertaining. This baby starts to break dance once music starts to play. We both wish we had that kind of talent. Enjoy!

David Archuleta

People might think I'm slightly obsessed with the American Idol Runner-up David Archuleta from last year. Yes I know he's only 18 but I really wanted him to win. Sean and I always make a bet to see who we think will win Idol. I picked David from the very beginning, even before they made it to Hollywood. I think I like him for that reason in that he made it to the final two. When I was at the Fray concert, I freaked out when I saw that David Archuleta would be in concert in August. Sadly he's opening for someone else but that's ok. Tickets are pavilion only, and I honestly didn't think I wanted to pay a lot of money to see someone for only a half hour! I contacted people to see if they could get me tickets and no one had any luck. We even had a telethon last week to see if I could raise money for the show. I figured I would either pay the money or not go. But at the 501 party last night, my friends Anne and Sara Jo surprised me with a ticket! I'm not going by myself because Sara Jo has the pleasure of going with me to the concert. She's curious to see Demi Lovato who David is opening for. We both might be pathetic but it's going to be fabulous!!! If you have no idea who I am talking about, I've posted a video below. Thank you again Anne & Sara Jo.

Twitter

Sean and I still don't understand Twitter, however so many people are on it. If people want to post their status every two minutes, I guess go for it. Would you post bad stuff about your job on Twitter? We found this article that had examples of some posts that have gotten people fired. Here are a few that are very entertaining! "So my job was to test all the food at the new restaurant, can I just say, eghew. I'm going to Taco Bell then Twistee Treat." "Working..this job sucks worse than the economy." "Coworker smuggled out a chair for me. Currently being paid to sit around and listen to John Barrowman on my ipod. I don't hate my job today!" "Also I'm really bummed that I'm working today, I asked off so I could study but my boss is a ******* who can't read." Maybe make sure you don't post bad things about your job because you wouldn't want to get fired.

Graduation Parties

It's a busy summer and there are lot of graduation parties going on. I was recently invited to a graduation/birthday party and now I have no idea what to get the person. Originally I was set to buy something for college, but now do I combine the gifts? Do I get one gift either college related or a simple birthday gift? I have no clue and I need your help! If anyone has suggestions of what I should do, let me know.

Michael Jackson Memorial Service

Tomorrow is the memorial service for Michael Jackson. Fans found out yesterday if they were among the lucky few to win tickets to his service. Fans could register online for free and roughly 8,700 people would win tickets. Some people who won actually posted their tickets on ebay trying to sell them for $20,000. That's crazy! I can't imagine how packed LA will be tomorrow. I guess the streets around the stadium will be closed to prevent those without tickets from trying to attend. Five stations will be covering the service including NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC and E! Entertainment. I know we'll be talking about it on the radio, but will you watch the coverage? Do you care that his service is tomorrow?

Summer is going by fast

It's already July and I really want to know what happened to May and June. It feels like it was just Memorial Day weekend and now it's time for the 4th of July. June went by so fast that I don't even remember it! Sean pointed out something very scary-winter will be here before you know it! Ok we don't want to even think about that right now. It doesn't even feel like July because the weather has been terrible. Boat week is just around the corner. My wish is that July will go by really slow. We can always hope for this.

Michael Jackson

Even though Michael Jackson was a weirdo, it is sad that he died yesterday. Earlier in the week Ed McMahon died and Farrah Fawcett died yesterday from cancer. Sad news all around and right now the only thing people are talking about is Michael Jackson dying. Clearly he was a music icon and his death is so shocking. I'll admit I didn't even mention Ed McMahon dying and I briefly talked about Farrah dying but of course the main topic this morning has been about Michael Jackson dying. But I'm not the only one talking about him. When I went online this morning to look for news, every site is talking about Michael Jackson and remembering the king of pop. The TV stations are also talking about his life and career. So will they pay tribute to Farrah? I guess in the meantime we can remember Michael Jackson and dance to Thriller all day.

Kid Goes Crazy

There was this really funny video online this morning about a kid who goes crazy after his mom cancels his world of warcraft subscription! The kid is clearly disturbed and is not happy with his mom. Check out the video.

Jon & Kate Gosselin Are Separating

The big announcement on Jon and Kate Plus 8 was that the couple was separating. I don't think it comes as a surprise to anyone who has been following their story. I didn't watch the show last night, but I bet they had really good ratings. It's sad because after they made the announcement they said that the should would continue. Kate stays in the house with the kids and she will leave the house when Jon comes to visit. I feel sorry for the kids because now the show will be focused on how they deal with the situation. I think Jon and Kate are both selfish and they should walk away from the show and work on their problems. Then again, what else would we talk about?

Jon & Kate Plus 8 Big Announcement

On Monday's episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 there is going to be a big announcement. I'm sure they're going to let everyone know that they are separating and getting a divorce. Something that should have been done a long time ago in my opinion. However, is it a ploy to get people to tune in watch? Maybe there won't even be a big announcement. It's a good way to get people to talk about the show. They're doing something right. I'm even talking about it and posting it on a blog! I've posted a promo for the upcoming episode below.

Heidi and Spencer

I think everyone can say that they think Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are really annoying. The two were ridiculous on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, and one minute wanted to be off the show and the next they wanted to go back on the show. They came across has snotty brats who think way too highly of themselves. It's funny because Al Roker even drilled them on The Today Show and asked them what their deal was. They got really defensive and later complained on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. The clip from Al Roker is really funny and we've posted it below. Enjoy!

David Letterman vs. Sarah Palin

David Letterman did a top 10 features list the other day and it was about Sarah Palin. A few things he mentioned in the top 10 were she bought makeup at Bloomingdale's to update her slutty flight attendant look. Another joke he did was that during the seventh inning at a Yankees game, Palin's daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez. Obviously the Palin family was not happy about his jokes. Sarah and her husband both said the comments were despicable. Letterman apologized and told them they could be guests on his show and then Palins said no thank you. Letterman joked last night that things were fine between him and Sarah Palin after she offered to take him hunting. But she is still fuming. Do you think he was too harsh? We've posted the video below.

Another Cool Job Opening

We talked this morning about a job opening at Murphy-Goode Winery in California. You would get paid $10,000 a month to drink wine and blog about it! The job would be for six months and you would have a furnished place to live. You have to submit a 60 second video telling them why you would be good for the job. The description says you should be a people person who can speak to colleagues, customers and media. Not a bad job to have to taste and help make wine and write about it online. The application deadline is June 19th. If you want more information check out

Graduation Time

It's the end of the school year which means graduation parties have started. Graduation is a big deal but do you go all out for the event? Would you have a huge party? Would you buy your child something really expensive? Maybe a car as a gift? Or even send them on a trip? Sean and I both remember having low key parties with friends and family. Things seem to be different in this day in age. Do you have any thoughts?

Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt

Now that our regular shows are in re-run mode, it's all about reality TV this summer. I haven't seen the show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, however I think my two new people I can't stand are Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. I almost think they are more annoying and ridiculous than Octomom! Speidi quit the show and then came back. Now the other cast members have to agree to let them back on. Spencer actually said the other night that he was the most famous celebrity in the world. I mean seriously does he really think that. Him and his wife ripped on the other celebrities saying they couldn't hang out with these people. No offense Spencer but you are not someone that I consider a celebrity at all. The Hills isn't exactly a stellar show by any means! It should be interesting to see what happens with the show. Maybe I will actually have to watch it. Below is a clip from it. Enjoy it!

Men Gossip More Than Women

It's a proven fact that men gossip more than women! The Social Issues Research Center did a study with cell phones and found that 33% of men gossip every day or almost every day, compared with 26% of women. It also said that men spend much more time than women talking about themselves. Erin of course said she agrees with this and said that I gossip. I do not like to gossip but sometimes I am curious. Just because I'm always asking Erin who she is talking to and what they're talking about, it does not mean I gossip! Erin said she knows a lot of guys who gossip and who have to know everything that is going on. We had people call in this morning to share their opinion on it. Do you think men really gossip more than women?

Why is it still cold?

It's June 1st and I really wonder when it will be warm. A few weeks ago the weather was perfect and now it's cold again. I am ready to bbq, go swimming and not have to wear long sleeve shirts and pants every day! This week it looks like we're going to have rain and temperatures in the 60's and I'm not sure when it will be nice again. Maybe by July the weather will be better?

Jon & Kate Plus 8

Neither of us have watched the show Jon & Kate Plus 8. In the past few weeks, the tabloids have been talking about the Gosselins and Jon was pictured leaving the bar with some girl. Kate is also being accused of having an affair with her bodyguard. Her brother and sister-in-law are saying that Jon has an open marriage contract and that the two of them should stop doing the show so they can work on their marriage. Supposedly the family makes $75,000 per episode. After watching a rerun last night, you can tell that Kate definitely wears the pants in the family but we noticed that she is really mean to Jon. They should realize that it's hard for a family to stay together once they've done a reality show. This could be the new train wreck to watch every week! Watch the video we've posted below. It's truly entertaining!

Another Idol Winner

After all the predictions that Adam Lambert would win American Idol, we think people were shocked when Kris Allen won last night. It seemed like Kris was really surprised too. He even said that Adam deserved to win. As we said before, Simon said he would win and he said the same thing about David Archuleta last year and both of them lost. Maybe next year Simon shouldn't predict anything. Both of our picks were voted off so we didn't care who won. Even though he didn't win, you know Adam will have an amazing career. We've posted the results video below so feel free to watch it. Do you think the right person won? Should it have been Adam?

American Idol Season Finale

After several months of American Idol, the season is coming to an end tonight. It's down to Adam Lambert and Kris Allen and everyone has been saying Adam will win. Simon said last week he would win and even Jamie Foxx said he'll win. It's going to be no surprise when Adam does win tonight. But then again, last year Simon said David Archuleta would win and David Cook actually won. We've posted videos from their performances last night. Now what will we talk about!

Dancing with the Stars

It's down to the final 3 on Dancing with the Stars tonight. How will they do? I think all 3 of the competitors are great dancers. I'll admit that I hope my pick Shawn Johnson wins because then Sean has to bring in breakfast! I think his pick Gilles Marini will take home the trophy. We both made fun of Melissa Rycroft in the beginning but we were mistaken. She is also a great dancer who could win too. We'll have highlights tomorrow morning and let you know how they did. Here's a clip of Shawn Johnson dancing last week.

Not Bathing for 35 Years

We talked this morning about this guy who hasn't bathed or brushed his teeth in 35 years because he thinks it will help his chances for having a son. He says he takes fire baths where he stands on one foot next to a bonfire and smokes marijuana. He claims it helps kill germs. His grocery store even had to close because people couldn't stand his smell. Either way it's disgusting that he hasn't showered in 35 years. I mean seriously doesn't he realize how bad the stench must be! This story then led into the discussion of disgusting things you have done or have witnessed from other people. A few people called in this morning with some pretty sick stuff and we've posted the audio if you would like to listen. Do you have a story to share? A word to the wise would be to shower and wear deodorant every day!

Online Speed Dating

So of course there's online dating and even speed dating but now you can combine the two and not have to go anywhere! A New Zealand company is launching this online speed dating service that will use technology from Skype. You would enter the details of what kind of person you're looking for and the service will deliver potential mates to you. It's called Skyecandy and will be coming out in a few months. Perhaps this is something to check out?!

Fixed-Term Marriage?

Sean found an article about a guy in Australia who thought it would be a good idea to have a contract for a fixed-income marriage. You could marry someone for five years and then once the time is up, you can stay married or walk away. Sean thinks it's a great idea if this could be a real contract. Personally, I think it's a cop out. What is the point in getting married? Why go into something thinking if it doesn't work, I'll be done in five years. Whatever happened to trying to make things work instead of walking away from something. We had a lot of calls about the topic earlier. Oh and to remind you, this isn't real! Some guy wishes it could be real.

School Dress Codes

Erin was at a school board meeting the other night and the question came up regarding school dress codes. A concern was that how some people get told they can't wear baggy pants, while others don't get in trouble for wearing low cut tops or pants where you can see a persons underwear. I think that if kids want to dress like that then go ahead. Kids will be kids. Erin on the other hand is showing her age and says she thinks it's tacky and that a stronger dress code should be set at the schools. What do you think? Do you think it matters what kids wear? Are we being overly paranoid?

Biggest Loser Challenge

As soon as I finished a 3 week Biggest Loser contest, I decided to join another one with about 8 other people. You would think this would motivate me to lose weight, eat healthy and go to the gym. I've been working out but when I try to eat healthy, I fall off the wagon! Today for example, I started the day out right with a healthy breakfast and I brought a healthy sandwich for lunch. As I get to work I notice the mini donuts sitting in the hallway and tell myself I'm not going to eat them. Sure enough I have had about 4 of them and now I feel guilty! It's always hard for me to stay on track on the weekends for eating healthy. I need some motivation! I have a day and a half until my next weigh-in so hopefully I'll get back to eating veggies.

Paula vs. Kara

Producers decided to have 4 judges on this season of American Idol to change it up a bit. Now there isn't enough time for all 4 of them to make comments and it's been only 2 judges talking after each performance. We found an article that said the producers now face a tough decision. Do they leave Kara and get rid of Paula? Or should Kara leave? We're torn because Paula is an idiot but she's entertaining where Kara doesn't have a personality but she has a lot of musical talent. It's a tough call and it should be interesting once they make up their minds.

Tax Day Tea Party

Hopefully you have filed your taxes this year since tomorrow is the 15th. People are also planning tax day tea parties. It's for people who are fed up with the government, bailouts and anything else. A local one is going to be held from 4-6pm on Pine Grove Avenue. We're curious to see if people are going to attend the event. Are you fed up enough to protest? Let us know. We have posted a video below to give you a better idea of what's going on.

Cell Phones

We can understand that cell phones have taken over our lives. We rely on them on a daily basis and some of us even feel lost if we don't have it on us. But if you're going to workout, do you think you need to talk on your phone? Nothing is worse than being on a machine and someone is chatting away next to you. There should be a sign posted that no phones are allowed in the gym area! Some listeners called in to say it bothers them when people are at a restaurant talking on the phone, or waiting in a doctors office talking on the phone. So next time you're out, try to be polite and think of others.

Do you find it hard to throw away stuff you don't need?

We talked this morning about having a hard time throwing things away that you don't need. Erin said she pretty much gets rid of stuff that she knows she won't use, but sometimes it's hard to get rid of clothes! I used to be a pack rat but I've gotten a lot better. My girlfriend never throws anything away which is really frustrating so I'm trying to get her to go through stuff and pitch it! Do you have stuff that is hard to throw away?

More Snow!

I can't believe it's snowing right now! I know they predicted we were supposed to get snow but I really thought they were going to be wrong. Who would have thought we would still have to wear boots and sweaters in April. It's not fair! We can hope that one day we will see warm weather! Who wants to go to St. Martin?!

Tough Love

There's a new show on VH1 called Tough Love and I'm addicted to it! I normally don't watch shows like this. You know they're bad for you but you still watch anyway. It's about this match maker who wants to help women find true love. But he has to figure out first what they are doing wrong and why they can never find a date. The girls had a mock date on one episode and every time they said something wrong, he would shock them! I have posted a clip about the show so check it out below. I think it can help all of us!

Would You Rather Be Super Hot or Super Smart?

This morning we asked you the question if you would rather be super hot or super smart? A survey was taken on the Oxygen Network and it showed women would rather win a supermodel contest than win a Nobel Piece Prize award. We both agreed that we would rather be super smart. Let us know what you think!

Music In Our Schools

March has been Music In Our Schools month and various high school choirs have been in the studio to talk about music in the Blue Water Area. The last group was the Marysville High School choir and you can listen to them talk about music in the schools. We also took a few pictures of them. Thanks to everyone who participated this month!

Octomom

Ok are we tired of Nadya Suleman or known as Octomom yet? I mean seriously it gets worse every day listening to things she keeps doing. Her latest is firing the nurses that were hired for free to come help her. Nadya was convinced they were spying on her and were ready to report her to social services. I mean seriously this lady needs to get a clue. There have also been reports that she used to be a stripper. It gets better and better. Jimmy Kimmel did a spoof of her on his show the other night and it's hilarious. Check out the video below to watch it.

What Do You Waste Your Money On?

So of course times are tough right now, but we still continue to purchase things that we may not need. Some people still buy specialty coffee, while others spend money on magazines or even going out to eat all the time. Is there one thing that you continue to buy and waste your money on?

Lifetime TV

Erin is a huge fan of Lifetime Television and I will admit that I sometimes watch the channel too. Lifetime never lets you down. This weekend it was Nora Roberts movies and it was fantastic. You can always predict the plot. Someone is trying to kill someone else or running away from their past! And two people always find love in the end. Oh it's the best we tell you.

AIG

We've been talking all week about AIG and how they received millions in bailout money and this week decided to give their executives $165 million in bonuses. The company claims it was in a contract that they had to give them the bonuses. But do these executives really need the money? The CEO Edward Lilly was trying to demand that the executives return some of their bonuses but we'll see if that really happens. With the economy the way it is, it's sad that this company would do that. Do you have any thoughts on AIG? Let us know what you think.

American Idol Top 13

Finally we have the top 13 picked for this season on American Idol. Sean and I chose our top picks in who we think will win this season. Of course the bet is breakfast so the loser has to bring something in. Last year we did a weeks worth of breakfast but this time one of us has to bring in something only once! Sean's pick is Lil Rounds and mine is Danny Gokey. Below are clips from both of them. Let us know who your favorite is this season.

Dancing with the Stars

Tonight it's the new season of Dancing with the Stars. Of course we'll place bets to see who we think will do well this season. Right now, we're not sure who to pick because this season seems like an even more random group than usual. We didn't realize Melissa Rycroft from the Bachelor was a celebrity, but who are we to judge. We'll talk about it tomorrow. Do you have a favorite for this season?

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

American Idol

3 more people will move on to be part of the top 12 on Idol tonight. The producers wanted to change some things for this season, including 12 people singing on each episode and only 3 moving forward and the judges get to pick 3 wild cards too. We both agree that this season seems to be dragging on. The old way of having 24 contestants on with voting off 2 people every week worked much better. At least that's what we think!

Monday, March 2, 2009

The Bachelor

Sean and I are curious if people actually watch the bachelor. The season finale is on tonight and a bunch of my friends are getting together to watch it. I keep telling them that I think this show is ridiculous! I mean seriously, who wants to be chosen after the guy dates a ton of girls and then decides after hooking up with all of them that you are the perfect person. I have posted a clip below of the first part of the season finale. Do people really watch this stuff?

We always seem to get bothered by telemarketers on a daily basis. My girlfriend never gets mad at anyone, but I couldn't believe it when she got mad at a telemarketer the other day. It got to the point where the person on the other line, calling from Boston said he was trying to help. Hopefully they got the hint. Erin said she gets annoyed when they call her cell phone so she ignores the call. Some listeners called in this morning to share some pretty funny stories on how they got rid of telemarketers. Below is a clip from Seinfeld where Jerry gets rid of a telemarketer. It's pretty funny so check it out!

What Are You Giving Up for Lent?

Today is Ash Wednesday which is the official start to Lent. We talked this morning about giving things up during lent. One listener called in to say she was giving up text messaging and shopping. Erin is giving up chocolate and soda. I'm not going to give anything up because why bother. Although Erin thinks I should give up Facebook but I couldn't do that! Do you have any traditions during Lent?

Fat Tuesday

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday which means basically eating everything you can before you give something up on Ash Wednesday. With Fat Tuesday comes the tradition of the Paczki's that everyone wants to eat. Sean plans on having some tomorrow but I'm trying to avoid them. I used to eat them when I was younger but now I realize how bad they are for you! There are at least 420 calories in one, along with 25 or more grams of fat. I also found out that in order to burn one off, you have to run for 30-47 minutes or ride a bike for 40-60 minutes. That's too much work if you ask me. Are you going to celebrate Fat Tuesday?

American Idol

There's always a few people you can't stand on American Idol who for some reason make it through Hollywood for a chance to be in the top 12 finals. This year, Sean and I agree that the most annoying person is Tatiana Del Toro. We've posted a clip of her song from this past week, along with what the judges had to say. Can we say drama queen!

High School Girl Arrested For Texting

A 14 year old girl in Wisconsin wouldn't stop texting in her math class, so the cops came and arrested her for disorderly conduct! Her phone was taken away and she's been suspended from school for a week and is scheduled for a court appearance on April 20th. Do you think this was fair? We both agree that we don't think cell phones should be allowed at school, especially in class. Let us know what you think!

Resolutions

It's the middle of February so we want to know how your resolutions are coming along? Have you stuck to them? Has it been hard following through? Erin admitted it was hard to get back to the gym but she's back on track with going and also trying to eat healthy. I on the other hand, still need to work on my resolutions. Tomorrow is always a new day right! Let us know how you're doing!

30 Day Email Detox

We talked this morning about this lady that gave up checking her email for 30 days. She realized that she started becoming obsessed with emails and needed a break from it. Sean said he couldn't go 30 days without email. I think I could go 30 days without email. I mean we kept in contact with our friends and co-workers before email was invented. Some listeners called in this morning to tell us if they could give up email for a month. Could you do it?

Annoying Habits

We talked earlier about people having annoying habits. Sometimes it can be someone who will always call and bug you about nothing. Or it could be married friends telling you to online date! We also talked about when do you finally tell someone enough is enough? It's a tough call but sometimes you need to tell that person to back off. What habits are annoying for you? Some listeners called in so feel free to listen to what they had to say.
