Are Text Messages Replacing Conversations?

Sending emails and text messages is a quick and easy way to connect with people. Do you think this is replacing conversations? If you receive an email or a text you can ignore the messages and avoid questions that you don't want to answer. Of course you can always misread words which then makes it worse if you respond back to someone. What happened to old fashioned conversations on the phone? If you are upset and you send someone an email or text, it's hard to take it back. Would you rather send someone a text or email instead of having a conversation with them?
