Do You Lie About Being Married To Get Upgrades?

Earlier we talked about how being married has its privileges and even pretending to be married has its privileges. It's typical that a couple on their honeymoon could receive a room upgrade at their hotel or even an upgrade to first class on their flight. Even if you aren't married, this rule could still apply. Sean and I admit that we've pretended to be married to get a room upgrade or free drinks for the night. We wouldn't want to say we've lied, but really what's the harm in doing it just once.
