Could There Be A Reality Show With Jon Gosselin & Octomom?

We're not sure if it's a joke or not, but there are rumors that Jon Gosselin and Octomom will be starring in a reality show together. Yes that's right-two train wrecks coming together as one sounds pretty scary. Both of their reps are denying the rumors but "Cheaters" producer Bobb Goldstein claims he's producing the pilot, titled "Jon Minus Kate Equals Jon Octo-mom". Goldstein also said that he heard Nadya has a desire to spend time with Jon so he figured he would put the two families together. We both can't believe this would actually happen but then again, Jon has no job offers so what's another bad reality show?

What Should We Be For Halloween?

Neither of us know what we should be for Halloween. We definitely need costumes since we will be at the Halloween Stroll at Sanborn Park on Saturday. I told Erin I could be the bear again this year but I also like to dress scary. I have a lot of costumes at home so I'm not worried about it. I also told Erin she could be a drunk bridesmaid and carry around an empty bottle or glass of champagne. I liked the idea so much that I may even borrow one of my girlfriend's bridesmaid dresses. Erin also talked about being a Hawkette since she still has her jersey. No one knew what she was last year and she said if that happens this year then she will give them bad candy! We don't want to upset her now do we? Any thoughts or suggestions? If you do go to the Halloween Stroll, stop and see us. We promise we will have decent candy.

Ballon Mom Admits Hoax

By now everyone knows the Heene family's stunt they pulled with their son missing in a balloon was a hoax. Of course the dad kept denying it saying they had no idea their son was really hiding in their attic. The mom admitted yesterday that the whole thing was a hoax. She told sheriff's deputies that she and her husband "Knew all along that Falcon was hiding in the residence" in Fort
Collins, according to an affidavit used to get a search warrant for the home. She told investigators the incident was a hoax because they wanted to become more marketable to the media. They even told their kids to lie to authorities and to the media. Of course her husband is still saying it wasn't a hoax and that he had no idea what was going on. Sheriff deputies hope to have formal charges made against them next week. As we've said before, the extremes parents go through to exploit their children for a little fame. It's sad and pathetic.

Dancing With The Stars Bet

Sean and I usually place breakfast bets for Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. We pick who we think will win and whoever gets voted off first, the other person has to bring in breakfast. My pick for Dancing with the Stars this season was Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin and Sean's is Kelly Osbourne. We both thought Kelly would be the first to go but she has been a pretty decent dancer. Natalie has done fairly well except for Monday but everyone had mistakes Monday. She was also a judges favorite and they were even upset by her going home. Len Goodman said he was heartbroken and lashed out at the viewers for failing to dispense justice. Now it's time to bring in breakfast. Sean did say I could bring anything in so maybe I'll give him a Lean Cuisine. Do you think Natalie Coughlin should have been voted off?

Boy In Balloon Was Hoax, Charges Expected

According to authorities, the story about Falcon Heene being trapped in a helium balloon that floated away was a hoax concocted to land a reality show. Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden said the stunt two weeks in the planning was a marketing ploy by the Heene's and the parents will likely face felony charges. The stunt temporarily shut down Denver International Airport and had the National Guard use two helicopters to try to find the boy. The Sheriff said the parents weren't under arrest but he expected to recommend charges of conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, making a false report to authorities and attempting to influence a public servant. They could also face a maximum sentence of six years in prison and a $500,000 fine. Alderden said they would be seeking restitution for the costs but he doesn't have an estimate yet. He also said that the three kids knew of the hoax but they probably won't face charges because of their ages. We've posted the clip from the sheriff's announcement regarding the hoax. Once again, another bad example of people using their kids for publicity.

Balloon Boy Is Safe

You probably know by now about the boy whose family thought he was aboard a hot air balloon yesterday. The balloon was an experiment that his dad had built and it launched and they thought the boy was in the compartment of the balloon at the time of take off. This led to a frantic search for the boy who was finally found in the attic. The boy Falcon Heene said he went into the attic of his parents home after he got yelled at for being in the compartment of the balloon. Now everyone is questioning the Heene's and wondering if they did this all for publicity. The family did an interview on Thursday night and they asked Falcon why he didn't come out of the attic. His response was "You had said that we did this for a show." The dad was then questioned on what his son meant but he never clarified the answer with his son. Investigators will decide if they want to look more into this case. Poor Falcon got sick on the Today show this morning. We've posted a clip of the interview below.

30 Year Olds Living At Home

We talked this morning that according to a survey, more than one third of workers under the age of 34 are living with their parents. Listeners called in to say they knew 40 and 50 year olds who still live at home with their parents! If we were their parents we would kick them out. We understand if someone lives at home because they are taking care of their parents, but if you have a job and are 30 or older and still live at home, it's time to move out. The survey we talked about offered suggestions to parents if you're ready for the kids to move out. Here was one of our favorite suggestions - Tough Love-As terrible as it may sound to some parents, you need to be unafraid to kick your kids out of the house. They need to grow up and start their own lives, even if it means they have to work a crappy job and live with three roommates.

Are you dealing with an adult child who won't leave your home? If someone does still live with you, do they help with the bills?

Jesse McCartney Forgets Words To National Anthem

Poor Jesse McCartney. He forgot the words to the National Anthem at the Nascar Pepsi 500 race on Sunday. He probably feels stupid for forgetting the words to an important song but he's also human. Maybe next time he should go over the lyrics before singing! We've posted the clip below.

Ultra Thin Ralph Lauren Model Spars Outrage

This ad was posted by Boing Boing's Xeni Jarden last month which of course has caused an uproar with a lot of people. This girl's waist looks disgusting and it looks smaller than her head. The ad originally appeared on a blog dedicated to pointing out suspected retouched images called Photoshop Disasters. Ralph Lauren responded by filing a complaint against Boing Boing and Photoshop Disasters, claiming that their use of the image was a copyright infringement. It's obvious that the ad was changed but by who? Certain websites have been commenting on the problem and one website was offering free t-shirts if they could find the original ad. We know that retouching happens all the time, but why does it continue to happen? How can you say that this photo is an inspiration to other women?

The last update from Ralph Lauren was this: "For over 42 years we have built a brand based on quality and integrity. After further investigation, we have learned that we are responsible for the poor imaging and retouching that resulted in a very distorted image of a woman's body. We have addressed the problem and going forward will take every precaution to ensure that the caliber of our artwork represents our brand appropriately."

What do you think of the ad?

David Letterman Is Getting Blackmailed

David Letterman announced on his show the other night that he was the victim of a blackmail attempt, saying that the blackmailer was threatening to reveal embarrassing details of Letterman's personal life. Letterman goes on to say that he has in fact had sexual relationships with "Late Show" staff members and this was going to all go public from his blackmailer. He doesn't indicate when this happened or who was involved. A former intern claims she had a secret fling with Letterman and said she was madly in love with him. Saturday Night Live made fun of the episode in which he shared all of this information. Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon also made of fun of Letterman on their shows. Leno said, "If you came here tonight for sex with a talk show host, you've got the wrong studio." Jimmy Fallon said, "There's a new book out called 'Why Women Have Sex' that says there are 237 reasons why women have sex. and folks, Letterman knows the top 10." Did Letterman do the right thing by telling his audience what was going on? We've posted the clip below.
