Eating chocolate for a year

There's a research company in England looking for women to eat dark chocolate every day for a year. They want to see if the results help lower your risk for heart disease. Erin says she could eat chocolate every day especially if it's for research! The only downside is that you have to get a blood test every day, an ultrasound and other tests to make sure everything is ok. But what a great excuse it would be to say you had to eat chocolate because it's for research.

Dating in the Dark

Last week a new reality show started on ABC. It's called Dating in the Dark and it actually looks hilarious. Basically people have a chance to date in a completely dark room. Then after a few dates people get to choose who they want revealed in the light. Once they have seen each other they have to decide if they would continue to date them or ditch them. It actually looks entertaining. I've posted a clip below from the season premiere. I actually might watch this reality show!

Break Dance Baby

We saw this video online earlier and it's quite entertaining. This baby starts to break dance once music starts to play. We both wish we had that kind of talent. Enjoy!

David Archuleta

People might think I'm slightly obsessed with the American Idol Runner-up David Archuleta from last year. Yes I know he's only 18 but I really wanted him to win. Sean and I always make a bet to see who we think will win Idol. I picked David from the very beginning, even before they made it to Hollywood. I think I like him for that reason in that he made it to the final two. When I was at the Fray concert, I freaked out when I saw that David Archuleta would be in concert in August. Sadly he's opening for someone else but that's ok. Tickets are pavilion only, and I honestly didn't think I wanted to pay a lot of money to see someone for only a half hour! I contacted people to see if they could get me tickets and no one had any luck. We even had a telethon last week to see if I could raise money for the show. I figured I would either pay the money or not go. But at the 501 party last night, my friends Anne and Sara Jo surprised me with a ticket! I'm not going by myself because Sara Jo has the pleasure of going with me to the concert. She's curious to see Demi Lovato who David is opening for. We both might be pathetic but it's going to be fabulous!!! If you have no idea who I am talking about, I've posted a video below. Thank you again Anne & Sara Jo.

Twitter

Sean and I still don't understand Twitter, however so many people are on it. If people want to post their status every two minutes, I guess go for it. Would you post bad stuff about your job on Twitter? We found this article that had examples of some posts that have gotten people fired. Here are a few that are very entertaining! "So my job was to test all the food at the new restaurant, can I just say, eghew. I'm going to Taco Bell then Twistee Treat." "Working..this job sucks worse than the economy." "Coworker smuggled out a chair for me. Currently being paid to sit around and listen to John Barrowman on my ipod. I don't hate my job today!" "Also I'm really bummed that I'm working today, I asked off so I could study but my boss is a ******* who can't read." Maybe make sure you don't post bad things about your job because you wouldn't want to get fired.

Graduation Parties

It's a busy summer and there are lot of graduation parties going on. I was recently invited to a graduation/birthday party and now I have no idea what to get the person. Originally I was set to buy something for college, but now do I combine the gifts? Do I get one gift either college related or a simple birthday gift? I have no clue and I need your help! If anyone has suggestions of what I should do, let me know.

Michael Jackson Memorial Service

Tomorrow is the memorial service for Michael Jackson. Fans found out yesterday if they were among the lucky few to win tickets to his service. Fans could register online for free and roughly 8,700 people would win tickets. Some people who won actually posted their tickets on ebay trying to sell them for $20,000. That's crazy! I can't imagine how packed LA will be tomorrow. I guess the streets around the stadium will be closed to prevent those without tickets from trying to attend. Five stations will be covering the service including NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC and E! Entertainment. I know we'll be talking about it on the radio, but will you watch the coverage? Do you care that his service is tomorrow?

Summer is going by fast

It's already July and I really want to know what happened to May and June. It feels like it was just Memorial Day weekend and now it's time for the 4th of July. June went by so fast that I don't even remember it! Sean pointed out something very scary-winter will be here before you know it! Ok we don't want to even think about that right now. It doesn't even feel like July because the weather has been terrible. Boat week is just around the corner. My wish is that July will go by really slow. We can always hope for this.
